Around 1980 I qualified at IADE – Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication, European University, Lisbon, in graphic design, Interior design and General equipment.
Also finished a professional photographic course at Ar.Co, Center for Art and Visual Communication, also in Lisbon.

In 1984 I founded Novodesign, Companhia Portuguesa de Design, (Portuguese Design Company) together with Carlos Coelho and Paulo Rocha and the company has since become a  leader of this sector in Portugal.

Over the years new companies were added resulting in the constitution of Brandia, which is the sum of Novodesign, The Basement, Nova Publicidade, Design Force, E-nova, Nacional Media and Brandescom amongst others.

Brandia represents 20 years of expertise and know-how which made the Novodesign group a reference in communication and the largest communication and brand management company operating in Portugal today.

Novodesign’s portfolio includes the re-launch and creation of high profile brands like Galp, Telecel/Vodafone, Sporting Football Club, Multibanco, Oni, Centro Cultural de Belem, Partido Socialista, Partido Social Democrata, Buondi, CTT Correios de Portugal and Yorn.

From there, Novodesign & Brandia gave way to another projects and a brand new world. Buy the time, quitting the company was the biggest sense of relief I’ve ever felt in my life.
